Saw this post by Pokes, Iain Tate and thought I’d go along as it’s only around the corner from work. The pop-up store was amazing and a real master class in merchandising, with weight benches and all sorts of gymnastic equipment shelving this seasons clothing range. The range was based around the Olympics. Some of the clothes stood out over the rest, Nike ID shoes were on show as well as an art display of shoes featuring in this years games. It was the windrunner jackets that caught my eye. Great designs which mimicked nations flags. You could zip them from back to front, splitting them in half and then mix and match different nations. But at £55 a pop. Unless you had a mother and father of different nationalities I didn’t really see the point, especially at £110 for the two jackets, just another gimmick. Oh and the GB one looked chav! Nike don’t sponsor the Olympics so it felt like a hijacked campaign. Well worth a look though, so get yourself down there if your in the area, it’s on Bateman’s Row, Shoreditch.
